GrowthRings™ is a developmental framework for faith formation that understands faith as something children grow into over time. Rooted in Scripture and informed by theories of child development, GrowthRings helps families and faith communities nurture spiritual growth through everyday relationships, practices, and shared experiences.

Throughout Scripture—most notably in Deuteronomy 6—we are invited to integrate faith into the rhythms of daily life: loving God fully and passing that love on to the next generation through intentional presence, conversation, and practice. GrowthRings builds on this biblical vision by offering a coherent pathway for forming faith across childhood and adolescence.

We believe GrowthRings can revitalize ministry, strengthen intergenerational faith, and help bridge the widening gap between church and home by giving families and leaders a shared language and framework for spiritual formation.

The GrowthRings framework is organized around 20 faith benchmarks that represent key movements of spiritual growth across childhood and adolescence. Each ring is grounded in Scripture, informed by developmental theory, and expressed through age-appropriate practices that invite children to experience and embody faith in everyday life.

These 20 benchmarks are designed to be cross-denominational and intergenerational, offering a shared language for faith formation across families and faith communities. Visually represented by the growth rings of a tree, the model reflects a faith rooted in God’s Word, nurtured through parental leadership, and supported by community—growing year by year into a resilient and fruitful faith.
